My Journey in Academia
Over a 20-year career spanning China, the United States, and Germany, I built a recognized international profile in maritime economics. As a Junior Professor at the University of Hamburg, I mentored doctoral researchers, led the German arm of a flagship EU Marie Skłodowska-Curie project, and published extensively in leading field journals, including Transportation Research (Parts A, D, and E), the Journal of Transport Geography, and Transport Policy.
This chapter honed my ability to dissect complex systems, direct large-scale initiatives, and think with deep analytical precision.
